En el Diario Venezolano QUINTO DIA del 10 al 17 de noviembre aparece un reportaje escrito por Lorenzo Glusty sobre el aporte en dólares que ha hecho el Presidente Chávez a otros países. La suma total es mayor de 17 mil millones de dólares, pero de esa asombrosa cantidad que represnta casi el 57% de la deuda externa venezolana, los países más favorecidos por esa manejo autoritario y personal de los recursos del país, son: CUBA con casi 7 mil millones de dólares (el 41% del total), ARGENTINA con un poco más de 4 mil millones de dólares (24% del total) y una cantidad también de casi 4 mil millones de dólares para BRAZIL (24% del total). El 11% del total, o sea casi 2 mil millones de dólares se donaron para el Caribe Insular y otros países como: Ecuador, Bolivia,Paraguay, Uruguay, Indonesia, Niger,Burkina Faso,Mauritania, Mali y un aporte al Canal Oficial de TV llamado TELE-SUR.
En cuanto al intercambio recurriendo al sistema feudal del TRUEQUE se supone que el país debería haber recibido una buena cantidad de vacas preñadas y otros productos agropecuarios. Pero como no se ha hecho una auditoria para saber dónde se encuentran esos bienes, existe la duda de que realmente existan o en caso de existir en que finca se encuentran esas cabezas de ganado.
Además el Presidente ha realizado más de 100 viajes con fines políticos a un coste medio de 2 millones de dólares cada viaje en un avión con un valor de 80 millones de dólares que compró el gobierno para esa finalidad.Estas dos partidas suman 280 millones de dólares.
Es la segunda vez que un gobierno venezolano distribuye dinero con fines proselitistas. La primera vez fue cuando se llevó a Juicio al Presidente Carlos Andrés Pérez por aportar 250 mil dólares a los Contras de Nicaragua.
